This is another post about a good friend of mine.
I’ve known Chai since we were in middle school – like some of my good friends, I met her in the Chinese American church that I grew up in. From then to now, there are a jubilee of qualities that Chai has that really stand out to me.
For starters, Chai is extremely hardworking, diligent, and independent. I know this because of the way she lives her life. She’s currently in her last year of pharmacy school and she chooses to take the financial burden off of her parents and works her butt off in the sense that she has a job and she goes to school at the same time. She’s been like this ever since we were young though, and she is someone that I can look up to because of how independent she is.
Chai is also very kind, patient, and loving. We went on a trip back in September 2015 to New Orleans, Louisiana and at that time, I was going through a rough patch in my life. No matter how depressed I was though, she tried to cater to me and really genuinely cared about my wellbeing in the sense that she tried to make the trip as fun as she could. I can definitely call her a great friend because Lord knows how hard I was to deal with back then.
All in all, I’m so lucky to have you in my life, Chai Drinks Tea! Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do, even from afar.
I love ya, and I can’t wait to see you soon, whenever that may be.
