I want to say that it is with a happy and hopeful heart that I’ve made two important decisions for my life this past weekend:
- After applying and being accepted, I’m rolling with the punches and will be going on a volunteer trip this summer! I will be traveling for a week in August to Mexico to assist on the IVHQ special needs project
- I’ve finally decided to publicly declare my relationship with the Lord, meaning that I will be water baptized this Sunday
I am smiling with glee because of these two stepping stones.
Here is a small glimpse of my testimony – Well, you see, I grew up in church, as I was born into a family that firmly believes in Christ. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was eight years old. I began to experience the Lord starting in middle school when I first attended a youth group retreat. Throughout the years, God has blessed me continuously. When I went to college, there was some point in my life where I still believed in Christ, but I chose not to follow his Word, I chose not to live a life that was surrendered to Him.
Fast forward to where I am now. I am completely enamored by who God is in my life, and all the times He has blessed me, even when I didn’t deserve it. I am an imperfect Child of God, but He still chooses to love me every single day. I now choose to love others the way He has loved me, and I am continuously learning what it means to live a life accordingly to His word, and to His ultimate plan for me. I am never going to be perfect, but I am trusting that He will guide me for the rest of my life.
Blessings on blessings yall!!
