Tender Kare

This is the story of my boyfriend’s best friend who, in turn, also became one of my best friends. He is an important factor as he played a huge role in how the love of my life and I started seeing each other. I know, you must be dying to hear that story. That’ll probably be the best post, to be honest. But, patience is a virtue; I’m gettin’ to it!

Tender Kare.

I remember seeing T. K. once randomly at Dunkin’ Donuts in March 2009 when I was in tenth grade, while he was in eleventh. I kind of knew who T. K. was because we had some mutual friends, but we never spoke, nor were we introduced to each other till a couple of months later.

Fast forward to May/June 2009 – I had just come off from a break up, and one of my close male friends tried to console me by hanging out with me a lot after school. By doing so, I was able to meet so many unique individuals from this place called “The Block.” This is also where and how I met T. K.

T. K.,
Like many of the people I hold dear to my heart, you are yet another individual who has had such an impact on me through your actions and words. The affection that you have for your friends is what makes you, you. I am so proud to call you one of our best friends – I am so privileged in the sense that we both get to share you in such a way that you are able to care for both of us, along with all of the friends that we have in common.

So thank you! Thank you for knowing how to be everyone’s friend. I’m so happy that you have also finally started to get into the groove of things in terms of your career. I wish you the best of the best, and I cannot wait to see what you will do in the future; the possibilities are endless for you. Have faith in yourself, like the way you have faith in me.

B. T.
